Walls!

Dear Drywall,

I  was nervous about spending time with you because I never had before.  Thankfully Ben, Richie and Brandy were there to keep an eye on us.  Things went well at first and I enjoyed getting to know all about you and how you work.  I was a little uncomfortable when your friends Mud and Tape came along, but I tried hard to keep my cool.  Honestly though, the more time I spent with you guys I got tired of you.  You are all so needy!  Quite frankly, in the end, I've decided we just shouldn't see anymore of each other.  This is why I've scrubbed you down with sandpaper and smothered you in paint so I don't have to even look at you.  I hope you understand.

Don't get me wrong, there were some good times and I'll never forget those.  Here's some pictures of our history together for you to remember too.

The girls made juice while the boys started working bright and early..

First they hung the ceiling, then the walls.  We came behind and tightened screws, making sure they were all flush with the ceiling..

Then we started mudding and taping..

And mudding..and mudding..



The boys convinced me to do a textured ceiling and I'm so glad I did!  Much less work and it came out great.

There were some helpers along the way..

Then finally it was time to sand and prime..

And chill..

And drink.  (ok well that was happening all day...)

Whew.  Glad that phase it over.  Fun and pretty colored walls to come!
